I am Jim Walton and I am married to Mary, a professional photographer and we have 2 daughters and we all live in southwest Missouri.
In 2004, I started a blog called Church Tech Matters and that site still proves to be a valuable resource for many. At this point, I realize I have the experience and knowledge to write about much more than just church tech matters.
The topics you will find on this site might include:
- leadership
- volunteer recruiting/management
- web 2.0
- social media
- blogging
- writing
- church tech (yes, that’s right, even church tech)
I have started and led a tech ministry at my last church, as a volunteer, and feel I have much to share from that experience.
As always, I don’t have all the answers and I am always learning, so join me as I take on this next leg of my journey.
By the way, I am interested in expanding my reach in my writing and would love to consider any new writing opportunities. My official bio is as follows:
Jim Walton started ChurchTechMatters in 2004 as a way to help churches effectively use technology to reach people for Christ. During this time, he has served his own church in a variety of roles as a leader and a volunteer and has been a consultant to various other churches. Now, he is primarily writing at JimWalton.org, as well as a handful of other sites.
